Hello, my name is Ericka Broadway. I am the proud owner of McGarity School of Prep. I am absolutely thrilled to have this opportunity to serve as your children's Director.
Since I was a young girl growing up in Huntsville, Alabama; I've enjoyed teaching children. I have my Georgia Educator Certificate in Early Childhood Education/School Counseling and Directors Certificate. I also received my CDA Child Development Associate Certificate.
I have had the opportunity to help open 18 schools across Metro Atlanta and still share a special relationship with the Owners/Directors of those schools. I also have conducted DHR workshops. I have 19 years of experience working with over 4,000 children, which includes teaching, tutoring (one-on-one) for SAT, ACT, Test Prep CRCT and ongoing assessments. For three years, I worked as an Academic Coordinator for Abuse and Neglected Shelter here in McDonough. I am the proud Founder and CEO of Broadway4Life Kids Foundation.
My parents (Carl & Myrtle Jolly) were the epitome of success. Being entrepreneurs for 17 years, they taught my siblings and me the most important principles in life: GOD, Family and Service. These core principles and Godly counsel under the leadership of our Pastor, Jerry D. Black, keeps my family grounded in our commitment to service children and family of McGarity School of Prep.
My husband Donald, serves as McGarity Transportation Coordinator. He ensures that transportation is in compliance with all state laws, procedures and students are transported safely daily. Our oldest daughter Candice, is one of two administrators at McGarity and she is enrolled in school completing her degrees in Early Childhood Education and Business Management. Our youngest daughter Ashley, is in the tenth grade and she volunteers her time during school breaks.
As the Owner, I am completely involved in the daily operations of our school to ensure that the balanced environment is achieved and that McGarity School of Prep upholds the highest standard in keeping the policies and procedures set forth by our licensing agent, Bright from the Start. As a parent, I understand the importance of an educational childcare facility, that provides parents a peace of mind. We have an open door policy encouraging our parents to stop by or call anytime. Our mission is to provide your child with a positive, safe, academically sound, environment to foster a desire for learning that will increase overtime.
On behalf of my family, we want to thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We hope you will give us the opportunity to assist in your child's early educational development.
